Doing the right thing sets Signature Consultants apart

Signature Consultants, a national IT staffing firm, knows that all work and no play is not a recipe for success – so they’re committed to both. Signature’s commitment to team bonding, open communication, and having a lot of fun earns them a place on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2018 Best Staffing Firms to Work For list.

Nicole Suarez, Account Manager at the Miami location, began her journey at Signature Consultants as a college intern. She joined fulltime after graduation in 2013, and has been with the company ever since — happily.

“Signature is growing, but we’re still very family-oriented. We’re truly a big family, and management really values the employees and our happiness,” said Suarez.

For Suarez, the transparency and accessibility of upper level management is a unique and invaluable aspect of being part of the Signature team. Her boss routinely connects with her to discuss both professional and personal goals, encouraging and assisting her growth inside and outside of the office. Another perk, Suarez notes, is her direct relationship with Jay Cohen, Founder and CEO of Signature Consultants.

“Actually, during new hire orientation, he speaks to everyone that day and gives everyone his cell phone number to call him at any point, even your very first week at Signature,” said Suarez. Cohen is a big proponent of the out-of-office, team-building activities that Signature employees love. While employees are often treated to exciting events for hitting various goals and milestones, sometimes it’s solely for the sake of building friendships and solidifying their bond as a team.

“We have a Fort Lauderdale branch that’s pretty close in proximity, but we don’t always get to see them. Jay encouraged us to take a day and spend time together to continue to build a partnership between the two offices” said Suarez. Employees of Signature Consultants aren’t the only ones who get to have a little fun. The firm places a large focus on entertaining and embracing the company’s relationships with their clients. Dina Armstrong, Business Unit Lead in the Scottsdale location, says these events are perks for everyone involved.

“That’s how we’re building stronger relationships with our clients. In a lot of organizations, it’s about watching every penny, not spending money on clients. How are you going to build those relationships and get people outside of the office?” said Armstrong.

For Armstrong, the benefits of working for Signature Consultants go far beyond the enjoyable outings and tangible perks. After working for other firms in the staffing industry, she was thrilled to join a company that aligned with her vision and desire to do the right things, the right way.

“We always do the right thing for the customer. We’re always going to have integrity and honesty. I felt like I’m finally with an organization that shares the same core values of who I am as a person,” said Armstrong.
