Trust and Openness

Leading with transparency and authenticity brings opportunity and belonging

In a world where businesses often prioritize secrecy, blueStone Staffing Solutions sets itself apart by being transparent and authentic.

The organization was founded in 2002 by Rebecka Kruk, who believes strongly that hiring great people and taking care of them will help them grow personally and professionally. By staying true to that vision, blueStone Staffing Solutions continues to build long-term relationships with clients, candidates, and associates.

With large expansion over the last few years coupled with the post-pandemic world, Deer Park, Illinois-based blueStone Staffing Solutions has grown to a wholly virtual organization with 34 internal employees across 14 states and one in Johannesburg, South Africa. Specializing in filling roles in the IT, engineering, healthcare, and finance and accounting industries, the company has built a culture of trust and openness that is both rare and refreshing for its internal staff.

For Malik Khan, a seven-year staffing veteran who joined blueStone Staffing as a tech recruiter in 2021 and currently serves as the senior tech recruiter, the company’s core values make it the best staffing firm to work for.

“Transparency and career growth are the two factors that speak volumes of the kind of company blueStone Staffing Solutions is,” he explains. “The people, management and clients all come together to ensure there’s open-door communication between everybody. One doesn’t need to go through a layer to reach the management.”

Connected Culture

Rather than focusing solely on profits, blueStone sees itself as a beacon of hope that puts people first, something Recruiter Christiana DiNardo strongly agrees with.

DiNardo, who joined blueStone just over a year ago in her first staffing role, has experienced firsthand the ample room for growth and advancements in the company because of its above-and-beyond approach.

She particularly appreciates that despite operating fully remotely, blueStone keeps every part of the organization connected, ensuring everyone feels valued. The company’s unique approach to connectivity includes morning calls that allow team members to discuss jobs, prioritize tasks and build relationships with each other.

“I always wanted to be in a company where everyone connects and is not considered just another member,” she states. “BlueStone is such a close-knit company where we have a call each morning to talk about the jobs we have. We’re able to connect, see each other and stay motivated through these calls.”

Furthermore, the company also engages in a weekly call on Fridays to discuss production, company updates and personal achievements. This call also provides time for team members to acknowledge each other’s non-production-related achievements accomplished during the week.

James Moloney, the firm’s EVP of sales and client services, shares that there are also in-person meetings for the entire company every other quarter to establish healthy bonds. “We feel this is important to strengthen the relationships with team members and greatly assists us with having individuals buy in to our company culture,” he explains.

Endless Opportunities

Happy employees are the flagbearers of an organization, and happiness requires opportunity, not just contentment. One of the key factors that make blueStone Staffing a sought-after employer is its commitment to providing limitless possibilities to its workers.

DiNardo, who eventually wants to go into sales, feels bluestone Staffing’s inherent above-and-beyond approach makes a lot of room for advancements in the company. “The management is on board to make our goals come to life. They’re extremely accommodating,” she shares. “What else does one want in a company?”

Khan shares the same sentiment and feels blueStone serves as the perfect platform to explore different areas of interest. “There are opportunities to grow within the field, opportunities to try different areas within recruiting as well — there’s opportunity to even transition to a different role,” he says.

The Extra Mile

With ever-evolving times, it takes more than letting employees work from home to make them feel a sense of being valued, something blueStone Staffing seamlessly delivers.

For DiNardo, the combination of employee perks — including travel incentives, team bonding events, networking opportunities, work trips and surprise treats — ties the company experience together. Employees are celebrated for not just delivering stellar performances but for putting in the effort as well.

And blueStone celebrates life’s milestones, such as marriages, birthdays, births and anniversaries, with personalized gifts and cards. This extra attention to detail and personal touch creates an inclusive work environment.

The company’s commitment to giving back to its employees does not stop there; looking ahead, blueStone Staffing plans to implement more standard and continual training to assist employees in growing personally and professionally in addition to actively investing in internal automation and AI projects, Moloney shares. “Instead of quarterly training sessions, we have learned the importance of ongoing training to assist the team members better absorb and remain engaged with the material.”

With the sky as the limit, there’s no better place to build a fulfilling career.

“We firmly believe that by increasing the level of automation behind the scenes, we can effectively empower our team to prioritize the cultivation of strong relationships with both candidates and clients,” affirms Moloney. “At blueStone, our exceptional proficiency lies in fostering relationships, beginning with our own personnel. By fortifying our team through strategic investments, we aim to establish a resilient culture of achievement, reinforcing our path to success.”
