Oliver Marsh, principal consultant

“My staffing firm is the best to work for because it’s like family: fun and competitive”

Montash is like a family. “Our CEO, Andy [Larholt], has been like a father figure to me since I started. He’s coached me as a person, both inside and outside of work. Montash isn’t just a job, it’s a lifestyle choice,” says Oliver Marsh, who has been with the company for more than two years. Like most families, amidst the support and loyalty lies a competitive spirit that’s not confined to the company’s ping pong table. “We’ve not introduced a league because there are a few people who are far too good at it. It’s a professional environment, but we have fun.”

In addition, the way the company is structured is really supportive, Marsh says. It has transformed his life since he walked in as a wide-eyed, bushy-tailed 21-year-old.

Montash’s culture is recognition-based. For Marsh, as well, it’s about recognizing the staff and making sure that people outside the organization know that there are good people that work there. “We recognize success and reward it,” he says. He also enjoys being in the spotlight and receiving he attention that comes with success. “That is very important to me. But at the end of the day it’s about the people that work here. If you have the best staff and the happiest staff it’s going to bring out the best in everyone.”
