One Team

Ensuring each employee feels valued and supported

Founded in 1992 by Stephen Trigg, Quanta Consultancy Services originated as a recruitment support provider for employers in the banking, financial and mobile telecoms sectors. The scope has since broadened into the realms of life sciences, renewable energy and data centers/IT, fostering partnerships with clients on a global scale, and with offices across the UK, US, Ireland and The Netherlands.

Trigg, a three-time Staffing 100 Europe honoree, began the business from his home in the UK and built a culture that has led to multiple award wins over the years, such as SIA’s Best Staffing Firm to Work For four times, the Princess Royal Training Award and Hertfordshire’s Excellence in People Development.

One Team

The company’s success rests firmly on its five core values:

  • We enjoy what we do
  • We are proud to be different
  • We value communication
  • Investment in our future
  • We are one team

Upholding those values through every level of operation ensures each employee feels appreciated. This, in turn, fosters satisfaction and retention.

Virginie Taffin has been with Quanta for more than a decade. “Quanta has always had my back, supporting me throughout personal and professional milestones,” she says. “Whether it’s the flexibility during maternity leave or adapting to changed working patterns, they prioritize employee well-being. It’s not just about me; the company is genuinely people-centric, fostering a family culture that values the development and happiness of its employees.”

Taffin regards this one-team ethos as something truly special. “We celebrate achievements as a whole company, not just individual teams,” she says. “In a sales-driven environment, hitting targets becomes a collective success, with everyone sharing in the rewards. It’s not just about the sales team; the inclusive culture extends across operational departments, accounts, and the sales floor.”

Emily Hayes, a relatively new employee, concurs: “At Quanta, success is celebrated across the board,” she says. “Whether you’re a top biller in sales or part of the administrative team, everyone gets the same recognition and rewards. The company’s commitment to inclusivity is evident in the way they acknowledge achievements.”

Transparent Career Progression Approach

Company leadership is focused on helping individuals find their potential, says Trigg’s son Spencer Trigg, who is co-CEO along with David Broome. The pair acquired the company when Stephen Trigg retired. “For us, it’s about creating promotional criteria, learning development plans, coaching plans to get to that perceived potential and then smash it and go again,” he says.

Hayes, who has been with the company for just over nine months, praises her employer for its “refreshingly transparent” approach to career progression. “Within six months of joining, I received a clear five-year plan outlining job titles, expected milestones and corresponding salaries,” she says. “It’s a structured path that differs significantly from my previous experiences, where clarity was often lacking and discussions about raises were uncertain.”

Taffin echoes this sentiment. “What makes Quanta stand out is their commitment to personal and professional development,” she says. “They invest heavily in their people, creating a supportive network where leaders are approachable, recognizing the unique strengths of each team member. It’s this investment that has kept me engaged and passionate about my role for over 10 years.”

No Glass Offices

A democratic approach to communication and access to leadership are also key elements of the company culture. “Quanta’s leadership is not confined to glass rooms; the directors sit on the sales floor, making them easily approachable,” Taffin says. “This level of openness extends throughout the company, fostering a culture where any team member can freely interact with leadership, share ideas or seek assistance.” This unique approach “sets Quanta apart from other recruitment agencies,” she adds. With 110 employees currently, Quanta hires based on skill level and values, Trigg says. “Our values are core to ourselves and across the business. We are custodians of the business, sharing experiences, knowledge and beliefs, ensuring that our values are ingrained at every level. This, we believe, is key to our continued success.”

It’s a policy that has consistently won Quanta recognition as a great place to work. “Creating a workplace where people enjoy coming to work is crucial, and when we win awards, it spurs them to keep pushing forward,” Trigg says. “Internally, the consistent recognition as one of the best companies demonstrates our dedication to fostering a positive workplace culture. Winning awards is not just a badge of honor; it’s a strategic investment in our long-term success. It fosters pride and drives our employees to continue excelling.”
